We are a team

Priya Sreedharan’s producing journey began with high-end commercials for global brands before she found her true calling in feature films. She made her mark as an Executive Producer with the cult favourite Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! (2008), followed by Love Sex Aur Dhokha (2010) and Shanghai (2012).

In 2015, she founded Open Air Films, kicking off with 3 Storeys (2018). The company’s slate includes the Netflix originals Leila (2019), Cobalt Blue (2022), and the upcoming TEES. She is also one of the producers of the short films Badminton and Kamathipura, the latter made using Unreal Engine.

Her work reflects her passion for storytelling across fiction and non-fiction. A sports enthusiast, she made her documentary production debut with Shakti: India's Superwomen, created for the International Olympic Channel, showcasing the journeys of four pioneering Indian women Olympians.

Ruchir Joshi is a creator, producer, director and entrepreneur. After his early stints at UTV, Channel V and FTV, more than two decades ago, Ruchir co-founded Via Earth Films, a premium factual non-fiction production house in 2005 and created award-winning, long-form non-fiction projects for top broadcasters like BBC Worldwide, CNN & Discovery Network.

 

In 2016, Ruchir shifted focus to creating content for the internet generation as the President & Head of Content at Culture Machine, one of India’s largest digital media companies. After two years of managing some of the top digital brands including Being Indian, Put Chutney and Viva, he started and ran CM Studios, a long-form fiction & non-fiction Development and Production House inside Culture Machine. He is currently the show-runner for an Amazon Prime Video drama series and a Producer for another drama-comedy for SonyLIV.

Ruchir Joshi

After his graduation, Wasim ran the front & back house of a restaurant in San Francisco before moving to India in 2005 to work in films. Starting off with commercials his first break into long format production came three years later with the National Award-winning film Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! as a Line Producer.

 

He further went on to assist director Dibakar Banerjee for multiple TVC’s over the next few years. Shanghai was his second film as an Executive Producer immediately followed by Akshay Kumar’s Boss in 2013 for which he also directed the title music video. Garnering enough experience in all formats of filmmaking, in 2015, he joined as a partner in Open Air Films.
